The Tia Maria Foundation is committed to helping students develop the confidence, skills, and connections needed to succeed in school, their careers, and their communities. Through mentorship, leadership development, and professional networking opportunities, our programs connect young people with accomplished professionals and community leaders who can help guide their future.
Elizabeth Summer Mentorship Program
The Summer Mentorship Program is TMF's flagship mentorship initiative, designed to provide selected Elizabeth high school students with direct access to experienced professionals from a variety of industries.
During this five-week program, students are paired one-on-one with a mentor and participate in guided discussions focused on career exploration, educational pathways, networking, leadership, resume development, and professional growth.

Future Leaders Speaker Series
In 2026, The Tia Maria Foundation expanded its mentorship efforts through a new partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Newark.
The Future Leaders Speaker Series connects students with accomplished professionals, entrepreneurs, educators, public servants, and community leaders who share their personal experiences, career journeys, and leadership lessons.
Designed to inspire students and expose them to a wide range of career opportunities, the Speaker Series provides meaningful conversations and real-world insights that encourage students to pursue their goals with confidence.
Launching in July 2026, this initiative marks TMF's first leadership development program outside of Elizabeth and represents an important step in expanding our impact throughout New Jersey.
